We are in receipt of your favour of 28th.

instant No. 1400/1910, contents of which have engaged our atten-

-tion and for which we thank you.

We have carefully noted the remarks of the

Director of Public Works regarding the material to be used in the construction of the masts and facilities for inspecting sɛme,

which we are now forwarding to Messrs. Marconi, for their con-

-sideration.

We quite agree that if the installation is

erected on the proposed site at Cape d'Aguilar, a jetty will be

required to land stores, oil, etc. This we think, although strong,

need not be elaborate and we are going into the cost of same.

We hope to have your further advices in this

connection upon receipt of a reply from the Secretary of State

for the Colonies.
